Logo Design & Branding
What do I need to have ready by my project start date?
Before a branding project starts you will need to complete my logo and brand identity questionnaire. This is a simple online form that helps establish you business objectives, target market and goals as well as identifying your style preferences.
What files are included in each brand package?
All logo packages include both a horizontal and stacked version of your logo. The Business Start-up package also includes a submark (a smaller, simplified version of your logo) and favicon (website tab icon), and black and white versions.
How do I give you changes
Your logo concepts will be delivered via email. Feedback can be delivered either by email or if you prefer we can arrange a time to talk over the phone.
What if I don’t like the first concepts?
If you are not happy with your logo after two rounds of revisions, I can develop further logo concepts which would be charged at my hourly rate. If you don’t wish to continue at this stage, work done up to this point would be invoiced.
How will I receive my final files?
You will receive your logo and any brand elements in formats suitable for print and web, including AI, PDF, JPG and PNG. These will be delivered via email or Dropbox at the completion of your project.
How do I pay for my package?
Upon acceptance of the quotation you will receive an invoice for 50% of the total project cost. The remaining 50% will be invoiced upon completion of the project. All payment need to be paid by bank transfer.
Do you do printing?
Yes I can provided printing services for business cards, stationery, brochures etc. I am also happy to work with a printer of your choice to make sure the job runs smoothly.
Website Design & Development
What do I need to have ready by my project start date?
Before a website project starts you will need to complete my website questionnaire. This is a simple online form that helps establish your business objectives, target market and goals as well as identifying your style preferences.
It is preferred that you have content ready by the project start date, this includes text copy, imagery and finalised company details, this saves time during the development stage and gives me a clear understanding of the website purpose.
What is the difference between a domain and hosting
The domain name is the address of your website that people type in the browser URL bar to visit your website. In simple terms, if your website was a house, then your domain name will be its address.
A website is made up of files like HTML pages, images, and more. If the domain name is the web address of your website, then web hosting is the home where your website lives. This is the computer where your website’s files are stored. These computers are called servers and they are offered as a service by hosting companies.
You will need to register your domain prior to the project start date. I recommend Freeparking.co.nz for this. I will setup your website hosting account with Freeparking after the website design has been finalised.
How can I give you changes?
Your website design concepts will be delivered via email. Feedback can be delivered either by email or if you prefer we can arrange a time to talk over the phone.
What platform do you use to build the website?
I solely use WordPress to build websites. WordPress is developed with security in mind, and it is considered to be a very safe and secure platform to run a website. WordPress is also customisable and flexible.
Do you provide SEO for my site?
Yes your website includes basic search engine optimisation (SEO). SEO is the process of increasing the visibility of your website from organic or free search results on search engines. Your website will include SEO friendly URLs, image ALT tags, global title tags and meta description.
Writing for SEO is a specialised job, if you need help with this I can recommend a copy writer.
Do I need to maintain the website after it’s complete?
Once your website is complete, I will continue to support you with any minor changes for the first 14 days. I don’t offer maintenance services, I will recommend a company that can do this for you. It is important that your website software is kept up-to-date and that your website security is monitored.
How do I pay for my website project?
Your website project will be invoiced in three installments. The first invoice needs to be paid prior to the project start date. The second installment is due after the build stage and then the final invoice will be sent once the website is complete.
